Hey,

I need some help.
I can't decide if I should buy the Canon 5D Mark ii or the Canon 6D.
I own currently a Canon 100D and wanted to upgrade to a full frame camera. I found both cameras used on eBay for around 180€.

Does someone have experience with one or both of the cameras?

Best regards,
Nikolai

Do you know how many shutter count?
Do you buy for photo or video?
6d is more recent than 5dmk2 for video is sure better.
For photo could be a bit better autofocus 5d vs 6d, but I should decide I would go to 6d, if I need to repair my camera I had more chance to found spare part to repair.

i did a fast check online, the lifespan of shutter of canon 6d is around 100k, canon 5d mk2 around 150k, after this value you could find problems and need to replace some parts IF you can find it.
i saw people that take 5dmk2 over 2 million of shutter count, but Canon keep a limits of some value to assure a good performance.

you should think that 169.000 clicks mean or timelapse, or high shutter speed shooting often...
a simple math count : if i do two shooting at month for an year, since 400 clicks at shooting (if you are a
good photographer you not need more, mean i reach 9600, this for 17 years to meat 169k.

if i do timelapse, or high speed shutter i not wear only the shutter but also the sensor.
do your consideration.
