Just upgraded to Resolve Lite 10.00.0073 and it immediately crashes on startup. I see the logo screen with 'Starting Up' and then it goes away. This was working fine with Davinci Resolve Lite 9 and the betas.
I've uninstalled Resolve from Add/Remove programs and PostSQL and reinstalled and still no go. Ideas?
Just tried downgrading to Resolve 9.1.6 by uninstalling everything, blasting the Blackmagic Design directories and reinstalling Resolve 9.1.6 and same issue. It sounds like I'm hosed. Suggestions, fellas?
I have a similar problem! sont know what it is! it crashes as soon as starts up or at the first time i look at video files! could someone give me a hint!!!

Just tried this on my Windows 8.1 laptop with GeForce Nvidia 650M and same issue. Immediate crashing after 'Starting Up' logo appears. Have you tested this on Windows 8.1?
wich nvidia driver do you think i can try??????? Ive tried 310.9, 314.7 and 331.65 none of them work! 314.7 got me till i sarted grading! then crashed including windows!
I had a similar problem with all the Resolve 10 betas as well as the release version of Resolve 10. It would stop at the screen saying "Starting Up" Absolutely nothing I did would get it to work.
Finally, I tried running Resolve using "run as administrator" and it still hung at the same screen. I killed the Resolve process in task manager and then killed all the DPDecoder processes that Resolve creates. After that, I tried running Resolve normally one last time and finally it worked. I have absolutely no idea why its finally working now or whether anything I did had anything to do with it working. But I figured I would share my experience anyway in case something I did helped.
Thanks for chiming in Thomas. Still no go here. Is anyone running this successfully with Windows 8.1? I no longer have a Windows 8 machine to test with.
Downloaded Resolve Lite 10 yesterday. Same problem here. I see the splash screen, then it disappears and nothing more happens. Tried to uninstall and then reinstall. No help. I'm stuck.
Supermicro MB with Dual Intel Xeon E5430@2.66GHz (8 cores totally) 12GB RAM Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit (latest patches) DirectX runtime version 11 Nvidia GeForce GTX580 (3GB GDDR5 RAM) with the lates drivers (downloaded today to see if that solved it)
Could you please run CaptureLogs (located at C:\Program Files\Blackmagic Design\DaVinci Resolve\CaptureLogs.bat). This will generate a zipped logs package on your desktop.
Thanks for posting the logs everyone. We have identified and resolved this issue. The fix will come with the next dot update expected in the next few days.
