Proxy media not generating for some clips

I have 6 clips in the media pool. All are 4k 30 from the same source. When I select all 6 and choose Generate Proxy Media the process runs but 2 clips do not have the little icon on them and playback is still choppy. Choosing these files individually does the same, process runs but no proxy made. No error msg or other sign the process failed. Is this a limit in the free vs studio versions?

Do these clips have a different codec?

No, they are all sequential recordings from the same source (4k OBS capture) using the same settings I have used for months. Also the files are not adjacent to each other in their recording sequence so it is unlikely to be the result of an inadvertent change.
Curiously, I attempted the same operation , Proxy Media Generation, on my other system using the exact same source files and they completed successfully. Both systems are a default installation of 18.1.18 and are almost identical in their specifications, Win11, i7, 64g, 1660 GPU etc... I can proceed with my project now but would love to know why this is occurring.

OBS captures can have hiccups when other programs draw too much attention.

Thanks, I don't think it is OBS because using the same clips I was able to successfully generate the proxies on my other PC. In any case I'm calling this a glitch and am not going to worry about it unless it manifests itself again. Thanks for taking the time to help me think about this...

I am having the same issue on one particular clip.
My timeline has 76 clips. Other clips of similar length and frame number take only about 5 minutes. This particular clip is at 2% Generating Proxy Media and as I write this is saying there is "16 hours Remaining"!

And it is still climbing.

I am using v18.1.2 of Resolve Studio with a paid licence.

What gives Blackmagic?

Using 18.6, having similar issues. I shot the job using the same camera for interviews and broll but on different days. DNG files. The interview clips and day generate proxies. The b-roll DNG files shot on the broll day will not generate proxies.

I can use all files for the edit. However, I had an online assistant working with me. He can get the broll clips. I could upload the original media. That's time and space-consuming.
