Vertical Video on Reference Display

PostTue Mar 21, 2023 11:49 pm

Can anyone help me figure this out? I'm using a reference display via a decklink and usually need to supply content in three aspect ratios; 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16. The first two work fine but when I create a timeline version for 9:16, the output on my reference display crops the image and doesn't show the full height. Is there a trick I'm missing as I've searched the settings and manual and can't find a solution?

Thanks in advance

I think what you see is simply a larger vertical resolution than your monitor can handle. there is a trick, you have to play with the output scaling resolution, to make sure that the vertical resolution is not bigger than your monitor (like 1080px) but i believe this will affect your canvas, could create black border on the sides, you might have to set it back before rendering.
