As mentioned, you don't run the installer as root.

What happens if you just double click the installer from the GUI Files window?

It looks like you've extracted the zip into a DaVinci_Resolve_18.6.3_Linux folder, which is good.

And it looks like you have the expected .run file and pdf file in that folder.

You should be able to double click the .run file in the DaVinci_Resolve_18.6.3_Linux folder to run the installer. What happens when you do that?

Where did the 2 files in the Downloads folder with the lock icons come from?

Hello,

For security reasons i am running a rhel security enhanced system witch means the sudoesrs don`t have rights to do evrything.

This means that when i try to install as a normal user i get acces denied.
The installer claims there is a howto in the pdf but i might be blind and did not find install instructions for root.
(please just provide an rpm)

Since Resolve 15, we've specifically said NOT to install Resolve as root, as that can cause permissions issues.

And you should not need to. Make sure the DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.6.6_Linux.run file is executable.

If it is, and it still won't install, you can TRY installing as root. Just not sure what's going to happen.

Follow the command line instructions from the Install PDF and login as root and don't sudo the last line:

cd ~/Downloads/
unzip ./DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.6.6_Linux.zip
chmod +x ./DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.6.6_Linux.run
sudo ./DaVinci_Resolve_Studio_18.6.6_Linux.run -i

Again, this is not recommended and I'm not sure how well it will work.

hello doing the -i as root simply returns:

The DaVinci Resolve installer is not intended to be run as the root user. If you have a specific requirement to install as root, please refer to the command line help options for this installer.

this is also reported but im not sure its related.
QStandardPaths: runtime directory '/run/user/1000' is not owned by UID 0, but a directory permissions 0700 owned by UID 1000 GID 1000

Hello So i`ve changed my security level.

I c now what the problem is as i still cant install anything also without being root.

The installer is trying to runn scripts from /tmp however in a secure system /tmp is mounted with noexec so scripts can not be ran from this location.

error is
/usr/bin/env: ‘/tmp/ctwlpu.sh’: Permission denied
