Sony's Shot Mark metadata on timeline in Davinci

PostThu Mar 21, 2024 2:13 pm

Hi to everyone!

Was wandering if there's a way Davinci can read the "SHOT MARK" metadata on Sony's cameras. Premiere shows this marks without a problem but Davinci ignores them. Am I missing something or is a function that's currently not available? This could improve my editing times as I mark moments when I'm shooting.

Thanks in advance!!

I've never heard of such a feature. If you can't find it in the Reference Manual, then my guess it's just not possible.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Hey Jim thanks for replying,

That's what I thought... Do you know a way to request this from BM developers? If Premiere can do it, I'm sure BM with all its power can easily implement this in the future... I'm hoping...

I just found this feature of Shot Marks with the A7SIII update and I gotta say - that would phenomenal to have this reflected in Resolve. The amount of time this would save is huge! Where can I sign the petition to make this top prio for next release :D

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.
