Removing shadow in 360 or 2D?

Hello Resolvers,

I have shot skiing videos on GoPro Max, and I am editing them in DR 18 using the 360 plugin. I watched some videos on how to mask and remove objects on YT tutorials, but none of them worked; tracking shadows on snow did not work for me (i tried few YT tutorials). That leads me to two questions:

Q1: Should I remove shadow wile working on 360 video, or after rendering it to 2D?
Q2: Can you point me to a tutorial on how to properly remove shadows on snow? Is there a tutorial I can follow?

Here's a sample frame I need to work on.

In many frames, the shadow moves between or on the skis.

Jim,

I want to remove the shadow, would it be better to remove in 360 format or after reframing?

What is the purpose of removing the shadow?

Get the demo of Premiere and try its AI.
I have no idea if it can do that, or if it's just a hype, but in DR it would be massive roto work.

Peter, just esthetics, GoPro removes the stick but the shadow gives it away. I tried object tracking but that was not working too good. I may try Premiere after another attempt in DR.
