Projects saves being overwritten & replaced after each save

PostMon Apr 29, 2024 3:16 pm

Maybe I have the settings wrong or maybe I am missing something but whenever I save/save as a project, even if it is something like project11 then project12 and so on, all the old saves save as the latest save. Not too sure why this is happening if you're giving it a different name. Anyway, is there a way to set it so I can go back to an old save if something was better in that one?

thanks

Resolve uses a Database. A bit different than a stand alone project files.

Every time you do a File>Save Project As, you'll get a new project, leaving the old ones intact if you ever need to go back. (So long as the new project has a new name.)

That said, there might be better ways. Like Timeline Backups, or Duplicating a Timeline, or exporting a Timeline file (.drt).
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
