Is there an equivalent to filtered Smart Bin folders?

PostThu May 02, 2024 2:30 am

Hi. I have the Smart Bin subfolders as shown. They are filtered by Flag colors.

The flags represent the following...

This allows me to process tons of clips. Each shoot has 160 clips, broken into 4 timelines. Without this system I am lost.

The problem is it takes forever to recreate the Smart Bins every time I have a new project. Now I just made a framerate error and need to move stuff to a new project. No Smart Bins

I've read there is no way to duplicate these bins in different projects. Is there another way to create the same workflow?

Create the smart bins (and anything else you want) in an empty project with everything pre-set up exactly the way you like it. Then put that project aside, call it "My template project" or whatever. Export it as a drp for safe keeping. Whenever you need to start a new project, duplicate the template (or import the drp), rename as needed, and away you go.
