Basic functions are still missing

PostThu May 02, 2024 12:57 pm

It's very nice that one or two new functions have been added with version 19, many of the new functions were long overdue for years and don't really blow me away.

Many functions that are presented to us as NEW have already been available for a long time,
Noise reduction, trackers, etc., have been further developed and improved. An approach that
one can probably expect from a professional software provider as a matter of course.
To then call these functions NEW?! I don't know; doesn't feel right to me.

What I would like is for Davinci to finally be able to remember settings.
For example: Show Full Clip Audio Waveform in Source Monitor
Every time you start the program you have to activate various settings again and again.

Am I the only one who misses these basic functions?

Or is there a trick that I don't know about yet?

Would be nice to be able to be able to have different font sizes in scrolling credits, that is something oddly missing that every other editor can do.

My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
