Hey everyone! I was wondering if I should turn on Boom on the 5.1 bus or if I just need to do the boom only option on the LFE channel and have it automatically routed?
I want to make sure I am getting the LFE channel and not accidentally muting it on the way out.
The level seems to be moving even with boom off on the bus but I don't know the correct settings and neither the reference manual nor the internet comes to a conclusion.

Ok. Sounds good. I can only really think of about 2 sounds which will deserve the LFE channel in my mix so sounds like I'll alt-drag them into LFE, put on that filter, set levels, and call it a day. Thanks for your help.
Last thing. Boom ONLY set to 0.0dB is a good place for the LFE channel?

Sounds good. Thanks Reynaud!
I'm completely new to 5.1 so this has been far more helpful than my film school has been. They don't seem to know much past log, Rec709 G2.4 and 2.0 stereo unfortunately so this forum and the Resolve Manual (not YouTube, they don't know what they're doing) have been indispensable for me.

Do you put it on the main bus without it affecting other channels? Or do I need to make a specific sub bus and send it to the main bus? Seems like putting it on the main bus doesn't affect the other channels so far so I am going to do that now. Worst case scenario I will just EQ the LFE track and cut anything above 120Hz. Only using it for one sound effect, after all.
