Enabling video clean feed freezes Resolve on Linux?

PostSun May 05, 2024 10:54 am

Hi all,

I recently updated to Resolve Studio 18.6, and I am no longer able to use the Video Clean Feed on my third monitor. The hardware is the same as before, and I used to be able to use all three of my monitors without problem.

I am on Arch Linux with an NVIDIA GPU. As soon as I enable the Video Clean Feed from the dropdown menu, Resolve becomes unresponsive. I can use the rest of my system just fine, but Resolve stops accepting any keyboard or mouse input. The only thing I can do is kill the process.

Starting Resolve with the Clean Feed already enabled (for example after the previously mentioned killing) lets me click about four to five times before the program freezes again. Luckily, this is just enough keystrokes to open the dropdown menu and disable the Clean Feed, which immediately resolves the problem.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? What on earth could this be?

Best
Rayne.
