One micro panel's trackball stop working

PostSun May 05, 2024 2:06 pm

Dear all,

I have a micro panel and the right trackball just stop working (the ring is working and everything else is working).
I tested in log, hdr...
I cleaned it up.
I upgraded Resolve to 18.6
I connected with different cables, direct to the computer,
I did a factory reset

I am working with windows 11, Davinci Control Panels setup 2.0.7, Micro Panel version 2.0, DaVinci Resolve 18.6.

The Micro panel stay on my desk, never move.

I bought it in 2021.

Any idea ??
Thanks !

I think you can google " how to remove and clean trackball on davinci micro panel" ...and get that done.
I keep a cloth over my micropanel when not using it ( when computer is off ), to keep dust and pollen and junk in air off it. Even with my windows permanently closed some dust and pollen gets in. Probably from all the leaf blowers out there. who knows.

If you are careful you can undo the screws on the base, remove the cover and verify the cables are connected to all the plugs.

Sounds like the optical encoder may have developed a fault. If so, you'll need to call your regional BMD office and arrange for a service and/or repair.
