I notice that the V/O is on the left channel only. Have a look at the Pan setting, as panning hard left could have increased the level of the V/O to take it over 0 dbfs hence the distortion.
Resolve Studio 19.0b2 build 25 Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo 860 SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (551.86 Studio Driver), Win10 Home (22H2), Speed Editor, Faderport mk1, Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ GW2270 + Samsung SA200, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.
When looking at stats for nerds, normally the volume and normalised volume are the same so if you have YT volume slider at 100% it will show 100%/100% and the content loudness will have a negative value. But this video shows 100%/40% with a content loudness in the positive (7.3db)
I think it's the user's fault, but interesting he hears no distortion when played locally and presumably doesn't hear the narration only in left ear.

They did and apparently no problem with audio, so editing and testing render methodology needs to change. Are you using a mono speaker or laptop speakers with poor stereo separation, are the quality of your speakers terrible?
Maybe you just need to plug in headphones if that was the case, I say plugin because even BT delay for BT headphones leads to a poor edit
Im using head phones and the VO and music sound perfect to me. I'm Not sure how to test before uploading other than to play it on Davinci where it sounds great.
After hours of altering my audio settings in davinci and uploading to youtube I still have the same issue. I have just uploaded it to a portable SSD and it plays back perfect yet when I upload to youtube it becomes distorted.

YouTube says YOU have removed the video. Is visible in YouTube Studio?
As for the audio issues... what codecs and bitrates are you using when you upload to YouTube?
Resolve 18.1 Studio, Fusion 9 Studio CPU: i7 8700, OS: Windows 10 32GB RAM, GPU: RTX3060 I'm refugee from Sony Vegas slicing video for my YouTube channels.
Maxwell, when you post Youtube links, use the primary part of the link only... and the forum will show it as a functional embedded clip within your post
Yeah, the voice-over levels are *way* too high. Have you set your audio levels to -14LUFs for the project and then monitored them on the Fairlight page?
YouTube has tried to cope by reducing the level but obviously it's still too high for its normalization routines to cope.

Thanks folks. I changed the Luf to -14 from -24 and all is well. I've know idea how this was so far out. I've never seen this in settings before. This forum is great and full of knowledgeable people.
Thanks Charles. I think its because its an Ai voice. The audio for the VO only takes up one row leaving a row below which is empty. I'm not sure how to upload an image to this forum. When I click on the Img box above and paste the link it shows the link but not the image.
