Hi, I'm new here but have seen enough of Resolve's abilities to want to switch to it. However currently the performance is slow, very unresponsive and unstable.
My setup is:
HP Z620 , 32gb RAM, dual Xeon cpu's, GPU is Nvidia M4000 8gb Ram, SSD's for storage and OS. My codecs and drivers are up to date (recent re-install), Win 10 uopdated etc.
None of my footage is over 1080p. Now I am using Resolve 19 Public beta so I realise some stability issues may be present but I don't think that's my real problem. The worrying thing is that the lag and unresponsiveness continue happen when I am using proxies (!) and having optimised settings as far as I know (eg playback at 1/2 resolution etc.)
Other programs I use perform pretty well (DAW, graphics programs etc.)
As I say I have tried researching this and acting on the advice but I am stuck. I know my system is pretty old but surely it would be good enough for 1080p?
