Fairlight - EQ on individual clips

PostTue May 07, 2024 10:45 am

I seem to not find it and maybe it is not possible?

I would like to put an EQ on individual clips for dialog audio post.
I have a EQ on each channel and I would love to have the same kind of EQ on individual clips. I n the audio FX there are all kind of effects but that one seems to miss. There is a Vocal Channel , but it just has a very limited EQ, not enough to dial in specifics for making presets for Lav mic EQing on different body positions for example. Any idea if there is a good workaround?

A 4-band Fairlight Equaliser is available with an Audio Clip selected and the Clip Inspector open.

Don't forget that there are plenty of third party VST EQs at reasonable prices you could use as well.
These are all respected plugin developers. Two of these are free.

Thank you! Problem is I cannot load presets for them. just for the channel EQ. Usually I make a preset for every mic situation and person and then apply it to the individual clips. I might just have to make tracks for these, which I wanted to avoid ..

Thank you Charles,

thing is: I try to use as less VST s as possible as I work cross platform between Linux and Mac, and also because I would like to archive sessions in a most "conservative" way to be able to open them again in a few years with no problems.
When I do just audio post in DAWs I like to use VSTs (and also Harrison Mixbus, which is also a more contained system )

ps: and resolve on linux has unfortunately no vst support..
