Davinci won't open - use it all the time

I cannot open DaVinci Resolve 18.6 - I restarted and turned off and on again. But I just get a black hourglass icon when I try to open. Need help, please. I have a project I need to finish and submit.

Can you please provide more details as to operating system and computer spec?

If the application hangs or crashes, include a link to diagnostic logs.

Greetings...My detail: Windows 11, ibm platform - free version --
I don't know how to access diagnostic logs. Over my head.

Finally disconnected everything, reboot a bunch of times, finally opened. But now another problem.
I get error message, over and over again:

"Davnici has faailed to back up "name of project" as backup folder could not be created in the selected project backup location".

I was able to find diagnostics log, and saved it.
But it did not give me an option as to where to save it and I don't know how to find it.

Please advise.
