just a quick question. When I purchased Davinci Resolve with the Speed Editor, I received two license keys. How do I free one of them from a not used computer, so I can use it again on a different computer?

Yes, your license key allow you to have it installed on two computers concurrently. Deactivating one or both of them allow you to use it on one or two new computers. This can be repeated over and over again but be careful if you try to do it day after day as it will trigger a temporary block by BM.
If you are using the license on two machine and then activate it on a third, the two first will become deactivated. So performing a manual deactivation is the way to go to release a license.

Is this also true for dongles, I mean having to deactivate first before using on a different computer?

You don't need to deactivate a dongle. A dongle is its own single license and you can pull it out and connect it in another machine as you wish. Without it connected Resolve Studio will not launch as it's missing the license and pulling it while running Resolve will halt it and demand you to reconnected it.

And that's the nice thing about dongles: you don't need to be connected to the internet. I suppose that's why they still exist, for installations with very high security demands.
Now that the cat #19 is out of the bag, test it as much as you can and use the subforum.

Thank you, gents. I have a few unopen licenses and want to trade it or replace it with dongles. Unfortunately, BMD won't do that.
