My project opens but it's empty

PostThu May 09, 2024 3:33 pm

Hi all

I have worked on a project for a few hours, then I closed Resolve (I *think* I have saved before closing it).

Anyway, when I reopened the project, it was empty. My media was there directly in the Master folder (even though I had put it in a subfolder, ie.
Master
Video
media.mp4
another media.mp4
...

Timelines are gone too, just like any other bins.

In the system preferences, I have "live save" and "timeline backups" switched on (but not project backups, unfortunately).

If I right-click on the project name and try to browse backups, the list is empty (the result of not having the project backups turned on, I guess. I'm not sure why this is not on by default!)

What can I do?

(I am in 18.6.6)

You sure you opened the same project? (In the same Library?)

I only have a local library. But your suggestion made me think. I opened every project I had and realised that I had used a template project, and although I did save my progress, I didn't save it as a different project. I basically updated the template.

So, solved! Thanks!!
