Keyframe icon bug?

PostFri Nov 20, 2015 10:53 pm

Sometimes the audio keyframe icons disappear (the ones that are on the lower-right corner of every audio clip in the timeline). If I resize the timeline bigger or smaller, then the icons reappear.

If you work out a way to repo this please let us know. I haven't seen this.

Thanks for your help Peter!

Here is a frame grab showing no keyframe icons on the audio:

Often the icons are on some clips and not others, as shown here:

If I adjust the size of the timeline in either direction (larger or smaller) the icons show up:

I have seen this "now you see them, now you don't" problem with keyframe icons before with the Opacity slider. Very frustrating. Sometimes, switching back and forth to the Color page and then back to the Edit page seems to fix it.

I get this quite a bit with the key frame and curves icon disappearing. The fix, like Marc says, is in the opacity slider. Open up the clip inspector and either wiggle the opacity slider or you might need to plant a keyframe to get it to stick. :D

Having same issue in version 18. Overall, I find edit page extremely buggy. I don't think it's ready for primetime. Replace edit has a mind of its own. Using a hotkey to slip a clip moves unlinked audio somewhere else randomly. I've already ranted about how insane the track selectors are and how you can't do a video only edit with source material that has audio. I want to make this my go to NLE as I use it for color but after doing 3 projects with it now I'm going to stick to Premiere for offline.

I'm using 18.6 (macOS, Sonoma 14.4.1) and still see this. The "wiggle opacity" hack works. When this occurs I've started setting the track's opacity to 99.99999. What's odd is that this no-icon quirk is per timeline. The icons show in one timeline but disappear when switching to another one. And in at least one case the second one is a copy of the first.
