Quick Time Decoder initialization fail

Has Any one found a solution to this problem with Quicktime and Resolve. my System:
Alienware Area 51
i7 980
24 Gig memory
NVdia XT670

this system is used for Video editing in Adobe Premiere, re-installing Windows 7 Ultimate is not an option.
please help
