Changes Colour Grade

PostThu May 09, 2024 5:29 am

Why does Fusion immediately change my colour grade when compositing?

It crushes the highlights and lifts the blacks and ruins all contrast of the image. Does this remain when delivered or not?

Unfortuately only psychics will be able to give you an answer, if you post that amount of information.

Well it just seems like it shouldn't happen but here is the info.

I am on a UHD timelime, the clip is a Canon Raw 8k log file, the grade has a Luminance Bal, Colour Balance, Cross Processed look and the contrast has been lifted. I have simply used two strokes of the paint brush in Fusion and the simple comp has completed changed the grade.
