Monitor view is 8bit?

PostMon Jan 08, 2024 9:33 am

Hi,

My two monitors are 10bit. (Nvidia setting is 10bit too.) There are no banding.

I noticed Monitor view (View on 4 (2nd monitor)) has banding. It looks 8bit.

I made New Image window on Monitor view(2nd monitor). There are no banding in the Image window. The monitor view below it has banding. (I can't make 10bit screenshot)

DeckLink View (View on 3) has banding too. My Video output setting in Fusion is 10bitRGB. (There is no banding from Fusion page in Resolve)
Is Fusion Studio's monitoring function only 8bit? Is this 18.6.4's bug? (I do not have time to test other versions.)

What do you think?

Monitor view and Deck link view are still 8bit on 10 bit monitor in Beta 2

Monitor view on 10 bit second monitor via DVI >>> 8 bit (This mean I see a banding.)
Image view on 10 bit second monitor >>> 10 bit (This mean I can't see banding.)

Deck Link view on 10 bit monitor via HDMI
10 bit RGB >>> 8 bit
10 bit YUV >>> 10 bit
8 bit RGBA >>> 8 bit
12 bit RGB >>> 8 bit
