Cintel Scanner output

PostSat Apr 27, 2024 10:27 am

My Cintel film scanner only has Thunderbolt 2 output
can anyone confirm if the unit can be operated on Mac / Win system that only has Thunderbolt 4 ports via a converter or adaptor.
I m in a bit of a dilemma as my Workstation has broken and all the new machines are not Thunderbolt 2 friendly.
Any advi e would be greatly appreciated, as I need to get back to scanning.

Hi,

You can use a Thunderbolt 2 adapter without issue, I would recommend using a branded part though!
We operate the latest Macs on TB2 compliant scanners OK
