Hilight Issues

PostSun May 05, 2024 3:18 pm

I'm seeing a LOT of failures with Highlight on the Color page in Studio 19b2 for Windows. Sometimes it simply fails to work, other times even trying to engage it will CTD Resolve.

Applies to both the Global Highlight above the Viewer as well as the new Color Slice Highlight icons.

Working on Crash Logs...

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

"Failure"

meaning crashes, or they simply don't work? I've see the latter, with workarounds, but not the former.

Failure meaning nothing happens. No response at all.

Or...hard crash to desktop.

Highlights already had an old bug that occurred during the early beats auf V18. Wenn you use the HDR wheels, e.g. anything from the HDR panel, the highlights will stop working and do nothing, neither the viewer one or the colorslice highlights. Even if you remove the node with the HDR tools, the highlights won't work after that. At least that's what I noticed on beta1 of V19 on MacOS Sonoma. Although I did not have any crashes when trying to activate highlight mode.
