UPDATE: PLEASE DISREGARD THIS ENTIRE THREAD. IT IS UN-RELATED TO BETA 1. IT WAS BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM WITH MY DROPBOX.
These did not succeed:
The .png and .jpeg files reside on my main disk. (My "main disk" happens to be an external SSD (Samsung T7) where macOS Sonoma has been installed as a bootable installation where I'm testing beta 1 in isolation.)
1) I dragged the .png and .jpeg graphics files into the Media Pool. The name of the graphics file appears in red in the Media Pool, indicating an error.
2) Next, I tried dragging each .png and .jpeg directly into the Node graph area in the Fusion tab, which creates a MediaIn node. But when I connect that resulting MediaIn node to the other nodes, the MediaIn node becomes red.
3) Next, I tried using a Loader node to incorporate the .png and .jpeg into the composition. No red nodes. But it simply does not display the image in the viewer.
4). I dragged each of the .png and .jpeg directly into the Timeline in the Edit tab, but those immediately became red "media offline".
Just to cover all bases, I use those exact .jpeg and .png files repeating the above with Davinci 18.6.6 and no problems encountered.
The above was done in a new Project created in Beta 1. However, what prompted me to test this is because, when I imported a Project from 18.6.6 I noticed that a .png file, that is part of the Fusion composition, did not display in the viewer. So I did the above in a new Project to test it out.
